Performance Urethane Engine Mounts

Dominator Wholesale have released a range of polyurethane performance engine & transmission mounts for tough 6cyl, V6 & V8 Ford & Holdens, and highly modified 4 cylinder & rotary powered vehicles. Utilising ADVANCED URETHANE material, engineers have developed mounts that are extremely flexible, absorbent, robust and also restrictive. By adding a ‘gate’ design concept to the mount, the mount locks and becomes a solid under heavy acceleration loads. By locking, the mounts restrict torque roll and prevent further loss of power output. All of the mounts from our range incorporate this gate or ‘Torque Motion Restrictor’.

Recently the latest LS1/LS2 Urethane engine mount was trialled at the Bathurst 12 hour race in a HSV GTO Monaro. As well as a top 10 finish, the mounts gave more reliability under race conditions, as they had destroyed several Original Equipment mounts in previous shorter rounds.

The Urethane mounts are designed for all levels of performance whether it be the road, strip or the extremes of a 12 hour Bathurst GTP race. The revolutionary design restricts engine movement, by limiting the impact of torque spikes. Some engines twist (torque up) so much with Original Equipment mounts from high torque output, that huge amounts of power to the wheels is lost and gear changes can be missed quite regularly.

The polyester material used is up to 10 times stronger than Original Equipment natural rubber mounts, yet still maintains vibration insulation and reduces NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness), as well as being resistant to oil and chemical deterioration. By replacing the Original Equipment mounts with these babies, you ensure optimum power gets to the wheels and butter smooth gear changes.
